About us

Tarantella is a group of various folk dances characterized by a fast upbeat tempo, accompanied by tambourines.

It is among the most recognized forms of traditional southern Italian music. The specific dance-name varies with every region, for instance tammurriata in Campania, pizzica in the Salento region, Sonu a ballu in Calabria. Tarantella is popular in Southern Italy & Argentina.

Family owned Italian restaurant in Western super mare. Specializing in Italian food, Neapolitan style pizza and stunning desserts.

Hospitality calls it theatre, but we call it edge. An edge through our staff’s personality, their ideas and their service will ensure you want to come back time and time again because of how you are looked after.

I can’t believe we have this in Somerset. I live In Bristol at the moment but I used to come here, it was decent. Now it’s my fav and the staff are amazing aswell as the food. I had the seafood linguine and it was to die for.

Impressive restaurant because not only did they make a plan to fit in our party of 9 but the service was impeccable, and the food truly excellent. Absolutely quality venue. Looking forward to returning. Vegetarian options: The restaurant offered a really good vegan pizza, in addition to the great range of vegetarian options.

The monkfish was spectacular, as was the steak and the pizza. Great service. Very attentive. Best place I've been in ages for a special meal.

Just to say wow!!! I can’t believe The new Tarantella is better than the old! I loved the old Tarantella, however what they did with the decor and ambiance amazing! Customer service is definitely better! Loveeddd the food❤️❤️! I like to give credit where it is due. Aswell as I came with my wife when they had two big party tables. They was still able to look after us!!!!

I used to frequent tarantellas quite regularly before covid. It has been taken over and it’s now my go to Italian.The staff are friendly, knowledgable and always eager to assist with your every whim.The food is very good quality and tasty.and the wine list is fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant for every occasion.

Booked a table for my daughters 21st & had a superb evening. We delivered a cake a few days earlier which they bought out after our meal. The atmosphere was lovely & staff very friendly. Our food was excellent all round, we all ordered a variety of pizzas, pasta which were wonderful & the steak was the best we had tasted. Thank you Lorenzo & your staff for a memorable evening. We will be back again & highly recommend.
